The old, rusty Hovden smokestacks are replaced with new ones to retain the look of the original cannery.
The Stacks Are Back

New fiberglass smokestacks—replicas of the old stacks—are raised onto the restored boilers. The stacks help retain the look of the old Hovden Cannery and keep the spirit of Cannery Row alive. As they have for years, fishing boats rely on the smokestacks as a navigational point of reference.
