The Aquarium is featured on the cover of Sunset magazine. Inside, an article entitled "Monterey Bay and its astonishing new aquarium: It's a good time to explore both" explains that the Aquarium is a "celebration of the diversity of the entire bay area." More than 25 percent of all first-year visitors cite the cover article as having inspired them to come for a visit.
