From March through December, 82,000 school children take advantage of the new Aquarium education programs. Aquarium attendance revenues allow us to drop fees for school groups from Pacific Grove, Carmel and Monterey Unified school districts. A $50,000 grant from Chevron U.S.A. reduces other schools' fees for the rest of the year. In 1986, all on-site education program fees are eliminated. |
