Living TreasuresOctober 1989
In conjunction with the Aquarium's fifth anniversary, the most stunning plants and animals from the depths of the world's largest ocean appear in a special exhibit called Living Treasures of the Pacific. Highlights include damselfish, squarespots, nudibranchs, corals, and the first jellies ever included in a special exhibition. Living Treasures not only throws a spotlight on the Pacific's hidden beauties, but it also sounds a warning about threats to its fragile marine environment.Generous DonorsAquarium members, businesses and foundations generously support Living Treasures of the Pacific during our first-ever annual giving campaign. More than $87,000 is donated for this special exhibition and for expansion of the Sea Otter Research and Conservation (SORAC) program. |
