The WAVE-Monterey's Waterfront Area Visitor Express

Riding a New WAVE

Summer 1992
The WAVE—Monterey's Waterfront Area Visitor Express—gets rolling over Memorial Day weekend, providing free, convenient shuttle bus service between the Aquarium, Cannery Row, Fisherman's Wharf and downtown Monterey. It's designed to reduce traffic on city streets and pollution in the air by offering visitors a way to get around Monterey without driving. The Aquarium's support of the WAVE is part of its ongoing commitment to alternative transportation.
