Seafood Watch Pledge Form

I am concerned about the impact of a growing, global demand for seafood on the health of the oceans.

I therefore pledge to educate myself and others about the importance of choosing seafood from sustainable, environmentally responsible fisheries and fish farms.

In taking this pledge, I agree to use the contents of the Seafood Watch Action Kit.

I pledge to leave behind 5 “Thank You” postcards at restaurants and retail markets in my community that:
  • Label their seafood so I can make sustainable seafood choices, or
  • Do not serve or sell any items from the “Avoid” list of the Seafood Watch Pocket Guide.

I pledge to leave behind 5 “Become Aware” postcards at restaurants and retail markets in my community that serve or sell seafood from the “Avoid” list of the Seafood Watch Pocket Guide.

I pledge to distribute at least 10 regional Seafood Watch Pocket Guides to family, friends and businesses in my community.

I pledge to read and distribute Seafood Watch Fish Action Cards to educate myself and others about species on the “Avoid” list of the Seafood Watch Pocket Guide.

I also agree to respond to a short email survey to record my activities as a Seafood Watch Advocate.

Once you become an advocate, you will automatically receive the Seafood Watch email newsletter every other month.
