Outer Bay Web Cam

Live Web Cam: 7 a.m.–7 p.m. PST
You are watching a pre-recorded, off-hours video of the Outer Bay cam.

Feeding Times:
11 a.m. Tues., Thurs., Sat. & Sun. PST

The Outer Bay exhibit is a mysterious, mesmerizing world where life looms large.

There's no hiding place...and these open-ocean animals don't need one. Their colors blend with the blue; sleek streamlined shapes let them speed.

The stunning one-million-gallon exhibit is home to the largest community of open-ocean animals to be found in any aquarium. Giant bluefin tuna power their way through the water. Hammerhead sharks circle inches away.

Tune in: We're featuring live audio of our Outer Bay feeding program at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.

The Aquarium Tags and Releases its Fifth White Shark

The Aquarium Tags and Releases its Fifth White Shark

A young female white shark on exhibit since August 26 was tagged and returned to the wild shortly after sunrise November 4. It marks the fifth time that the Aquarium has exhibited a white shark and returned it to the wild. The shark was healthy and feeding at the time of release, and an electronic data tag will track its movements.

Baby Otter on Board

In early January, a five-week-old sea otter was found stranded in Morro Bay and rescued by staff from the Aquarium’s Sea Otter Research and Conservation (SORAC) program and the California Department of Fish and Game. On February 18, the otter, named Kit after a fictional character in John Steinbeck's The Wayward Bus, became the youngest otter ever to go on exhibit at the Aquarium.
