Sea Star Investigations

(K-2, Age 5-8)

Learn about sea stars, where they live and how they eat through this integrated set of activities. Students investigate a variety of sea stars at the aquarium and do hands-on activities in the classroom. These educational activities are designed to promote inquiry-based learning, focused observations and group investigations.

Post-Visit Students use Sea Star Graphs to compile their information and experiment with suction cups to demonstrate how sea stars Hold On. Singing Twinkle, Twinkle Ocean Star reminds them why it is important for sea stars to stay in their ocean homes.
