A renowned chef, cookbook author and winner of Bravo's "Top Chef Masters" season three, Floyd is the executive chef and partner of North End Grill located in Manhattan's Battery Park City. He was raised in India and attended culinary school in Bombay before moving to Switzerland where he cooked in Italian, French and Indian establishments. He gained critical acclaim as executive chef at New York's Tabla, a groundbreaking restaurant that sought to re-imagine the flavors of India and showcase Floyd's signature blend of authentic Indian spices and the finest local, seasonal ingredients. Actively engaged in the community beyond the walls of his restaurants, Floyd received the "Humanitarian of the Year Award" from Share Our Strength in 2007.
