Ben is a chef, restaurateur, artist and host of the Cooking Channel series "Hook, Line & Dinner," where he swaps salty sea-to-table stories with local fishermen and eccentrics. He's also appeared as a contestant on the Food Network's "Chopped" and as a judge on "Iron Chef America." After opening two seafood restaurants, Ben gained a reputation as "Doktor Klaw" in Brooklyn's underground food scene when he began operating a renegade pop-up restaurant specializing in lobster rolls. In 2009 he founded the Brooklyn Fishing Derby, a competitive fishing event that begins every October and has become one of the most highly attended fishing events in the state. Sargent is also the host of a radio show, "Catch IT, Cook IT, & Eat IT."
