Susan has been cooking professionally since 1979, mostly in New Orleans, with a stint in Paris in 1982, and numerous guest chef appearances around the world. She was a founding partner and chef of Herbsaint Restaurant, and for the last 20 years has been chef and co-owner of Bayona in the French Quarter. Her cookbook Crescent City Cooking was nominated as Best American Cookbook by the International Association of Culinary Professionals, and in 2010 Susan was inducted into the James Beard Who's Who of Food and Beverage in America. Her newest restaurant, Mondo, opened in 2010 and focuses on cuisine inspired by the "flavors of the world with a New Orleans accent." A longtime advocate of sustainable seafood, she's on the board of the Gulf Restoration Network.
