Otters are cute, furry and among the most charismatic creatures in the wild. They’re also in the spotlight as we celebrate Otter Days each September (dates to be determined).

The weekend includes special programs, a family craft room, face painting and otter-related prizes—including a chance for families to win behind-the-scenes tours of the Aquarium's sea otter exhibit. You'll also learn about efforts to save California's threatened southern sea otter

population, from the Aquarium's Sea Otter Research and Conservation program.

Programs and activities include:

Otter feeding and training sessions.
Meet our aquarists: Learn how we care for the otters at hands-on sessions.
Animal training game: Meet an animal behavior expert, learn why we train otters and participate in a fun training session.
Otter spotting: Join sea otter researchers and trackers on the Great Tide Pool Deck. Visitors will get their otter questions answered as they search for wild sea otters swimming by.
