Jellies

Even though they have no brain or circulatory system, jellies do an amazing job of dealing with life's problems. Go behind the scenes with Senior Aquarist Chad Widmer, who explains what it’s like to care for these delicate and beautiful creatures—most of which are grown right here at the Aquarium.

Jellies are drifters—the open water is their home. Their soft bodies, with no bones or shells, are carried easily by the currents. Some are tiny, others are as big as beach balls, and many have fantastic forms. It’s a world very different from our own.
