Vice President of Guest Experience
David Rosenberg is the vice president of guest experience at the Aquarium. He's responsible for the daily operations, public and fee based programming, volunteer docent programs, interpretive training and is chairman of the Visitor Experience Steering Committee.
"I grew up in the desert, so the ocean always seemed like the most magical thing to me as a kid. The fact that I get to help millions of people make meaningful, personal connections with it now is a dream come true."
After graduating from the University of Arizona, David's career began at Walt Disney World where he held positions in both human resources and operations management. He then spent over 11 years progressing through the ranks of Hyatt Hotels Corporation and was an executive for many leading properties in the United States. In 2007, David returned to the attractions industry and took on his newly created position here at the Aquarium.
David has served in many leadership roles throughout the attractions industry including the Board of Directors for both the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) and The Monterey County Hospitality Association (MCHA). He was chairman of the Zoo and Aquarium Committee and Global Membership Committee for IAAPA and continues to work closely with California State University, Monterey Bay, as a member of the Academic Advisory Committee. He was recently awarded the prestigious Industry Service Award for his contributions and leadership in the global attractions industry.
