Young Women in Science (YWS) Otter Mystery Camp is a week-long day camp that gets local young women excited about and involved in science, the ocean and conservation. Students will learn about the importance of sea otters, connect with nature through hands-on learning experiences, and build confidence in their ability to be stewards of the ocean. By engaging in activities such as kayaking, boogie boarding and surface scuba diving, students will learn more about sea otter habitats.
Camps are conducted bilingually in both English and Spanish. YWS serves young women regardless of primary language or economic background.
