June Jo Lee is VP of Strategic Insights at The Hartman Group, a premier consumer research consultancy that finds value and opportunity at the intersection of consumer insights, tastemakers and the food industry. June is a food ethnographer for the food industry, and is committed to connecting individuals, communities and businesses through food as a shared resource. She helps clients like Kraft Foods, PepsiCo, Nestlé, Whole Foods Market and Google better understand how people think about and consume food so they can repackage products and design new ones, find novel distribution methods, connect with their consumers, or keep employees productive and well fed. June is Co-Founder of Readers to Eaters, an independent children’s book publisher promoting food literacy through good stories, a deep appreciation of food cultures. She has a Master’s in East Asian Studies from Harvard and in Korean Studies from Yonsei.
