Emily Saich
Vice President of Exhibitions
As Vice President of Exhibitions, Emily Saich leads a creative team of storytellers, writers, designers, artists, project managers, fabricators, and engineers to develop and sustain visitor experiences that spark awe, invite curiosity, and promote empathy and conservation for ocean life.
Collaborating closely with teams across Animal Care, Guest Experience, Conservation & Science, Marketing, and Facilities, Emily and her exhibition teams create and maintain extraordinary visitor experiences that weave together sophisticated experiential design, innovative exhibition techniques, and profound ecological storytelling to connect visitors to the wonder and critical importance of marine ecosystems.

Emily Saich
Emily joined the Aquarium in 2018, returning to a place that inspired her love for the ocean as a child. Throughout her tenure, she has cultivated a high-performing creative culture, managing and mentoring staff and colleagues, establishing key roles and initiatives around innovation and accessibility. Emily has delivered outstanding projects, including Into the Deep / En lo Profundo: Exploring our Undiscovered Ocean, winner of the 2023 Association of Zoos & Aquariums Innovation Award.
Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts in studio art from California Polytechnic University, Humboldt, and a Masters of Fine Arts from Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University. Working in exhibition design and fabrication throughout her career, Emily has collaborated with museums, cultural centers, and performing arts centers to bring award-winning exhibitions to life. She has served on the board of the National Association of Museum Exhibitions (NAME), taught graduate-level museum studies at The Johns Hopkins University, and has been published in the peer-reviewed Exhibition journal. Her commitment to excellence in the field continues with the publication of her book in 2025, A Collaborative Approach to Exhibition Making, American Alliance of Museums.
