Other ways to visit

We’re committed to providing access programs so that more people can join in our mission to inspire conservation of the ocean.

Museums for All

We're a proud participant in Museums for All, a national access program committed to providing more people an opportunity to experience the joy and wonders of the ocean.

Anyone who receives Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits—known as CalFresh in California—is eligible. SUN Bucks (Summer EBT) and P-EBT aren't eligible for this program. Simply present your valid SNAP EBT card at the Main Entrance, along with a matching photo ID, for free admission. Admission is free for the cardholder and up to three of their guests.

Tickets will be available only in person at the Main Entrance, not online. Upon your arrival, we'll request your ZIP code; providing it is optional and helps us improve our services.

Community Group Visits

We work with nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and other social service providers to offer free access to groups that serve children, families, and individuals who might not otherwise be able to afford admission.

Field trips

We offer free programs for Pre-K through Grade 12 at public or private schools and for college classes attending a scheduled field trip. Inspire your students to learn, have fun and discover their connection with the ocean.
