Fernanda brings a wealth of expertise in developing user-centric marketing and communication initiatives, drawing upon over a decade at Google and extensive experience at advertising agencies, where she played a pivotal role in shaping brand and marketing strategies for renowned global brands.

During her tenure at Google, Fernanda held diverse leadership positions, ranging from overseeing global marketing strategy to driving product innovation. Notable achievements include pioneering a partnership marketing business across Latin America, leading Ads marketing programs in the U.S., and, most recently, serving as the Global Brand Lead for Google's Next Billion Users division. In this capacity, she focused on enhancing brand relevance and product equity in emerging markets, unlocking economic opportunities for women, and promoting digital literacy.

Fernanda has a strong background in collaborating closely with local thought leaders in Southeast Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East. Additionally, she has actively championed an inclusive and equitable tech industry agenda in global forums, such as the United Nations General Assembly.

Fernanda graduated in Brazil from ESPM with a B.A. in Marketing and earned an MBA from FIA. Her executive education in inclusive leadership and coaching from Kellogg, combined with her mentorship initiatives for Latin American female executives, reflects her dedication to fostering inclusivity within professional spheres. With expertise spanning global brand strategy, cross-cultural marketing, and community engagement, Fernanda is poised to lead the Monterey Bay Aquarium, inspiring collective action for ocean conservation and instilling a shared commitment to preserving our planet's ocean.
