Vice President of Facilities

Profile of Patricia Lynn, Vice President of Facilities in front of the Great Tidepool

Patricia Lynn is responsible for overseeing critical systems and capital projects, ensuring our physical spaces advance our mission and set the standard for environmental leadership in the aquarium industry. She will help unite Applied Water Science and Campus Management to improve coordination and create new growth opportunities for our teams.

Patricia is a seasoned leader in facilities management, capital design and construction management, real estate, and sustainability. With a distinguished career at the U.S. General Services Administration’s Public Buildings Service, she most recently served as Deputy Regional Commissioner and Chief of Staff, overseeing operations for 34 million square feet of federally owned and leased properties across California, Nevada, Hawaii, and Arizona. Before joining GSA, Patricia built a successful track record at Hewlett-Packard Company, where she successfully delivered major capital programs and projects, including complex high-tech facilities and Class A office developments in both U.S. and international markets.

"As an avid swimmer and ocean-lover, I carry vivid memories of a quiet sunrise swim in Hawaii’s Ko Olina Lagoon and a peaceful, magical encounter with a giant sea turtle—an experience that deepened my fascination and respect for the ocean. My academic and career journey introduced me to sustainable design and the vital role the built environment plays in culture and society. I am inspired by the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s mission of ocean conservation and am especially excited to contribute to creating a resilient, inspiring, and future-focused campus that seamlessly integrates infrastructure, sustainability, and education."

Patricia Lynn
