Tralee Smith

Vice President, Talent Strategy

Tralee Smith provides leadership support for all day-to-day operational functions and activities related to the Aquarium’s Human Resources programs. In this role, Tralee develops, implements, and evaluates the Aquarium’s HR policies, procedures, and best practices. She is also responsible for identifying and implementing the Aquarium’s long-range talent management goals.

Tralee brings decades of experience in human resources and organizational leadership. Before joining the Aquarium, she spent 20 years in senior people and culture roles with global responsibility across multiple industries, most recently as an executive leading global total rewards. Her career has spanned compensation, benefits, talent strategy, and employee development, grounded in the belief that everyone deserves equitable access to growth and opportunity.

Tralee grew up on the beach in Pacifica (San Francisco Bay Area), where she developed her love for the ocean. Her career took her to the Northeast, and she recently settled back in the Central Valley to support the Monterey Bay Aquarium and be closer to her three children on the West Coast.
